Jimmy has a wealth of experience having been involved in the financial services industry for over thirty years. Initially with Barclays Bank, Union Discount Company of London Ltd and Oppenheimer Fund Management during the mid 1970s to the early 1980s. He then joined up with Dean Scott to form Scott Lang & Co. in 1983.
Following Mercater's acquisition of Scott Lang Investment Management in 2005, Jimmy has continued his involvement with the company as a shareholder and non-executive Director, as well as his ongoing work as an investment adviser.
Jimmy is a specialist in the fund sector and is FPC qualified. He also holds MSI recognition, FinstD and MIMgt. He was invited to join the AUTIF IFA Regional Advisory Panels in 1993 and served for a period of five years.
Outside work Jimmy is a keen golfer who loves to travel. Jimmy is also a big fan of Rugby Union.
